A creator-first approach to video editing

Edits is part of a new generation of creator-first editing tools. If you've used other editors, here's the simple difference.

Edits

  • Creator workflow: ideas + editing + insights
  • Built for short-form & vertical video
  • Focus on consistency and performance
  • Simple tools that still look professional

Other editing apps

  • Strong focus on editing tools only
  • Heavy templates, effects and presets
  • Less emphasis on creator workflow
  • Often designed for one-off edits

Which editor should you choose?

  • Want creator workflow + insights → Edits
  • Want heavy templates & effects → CapCut or another third-party editor may fit better
  • Want simple trimming only → The Instagram in-app editor is enough
